Editorial policy
This policy sets out how BenefitRates is written and kept accurate.
Factual reporting, not advice
We report what the government pays. We do not give financial or Centrelink advice, and we do not tell anyone what to claim or how to arrange their affairs. Our estimators are clearly labelled as estimates and show the rule they apply, so you can see the working. Your actual entitlement is always decided by Services Australia.
Updates after each indexation
Rates change on four dates each year: 20 March, 1 July, 20 September, and 1 January. We watch for each new release and aim to update the affected pages in the same week the change takes effect. Older figures are kept as history rather than deleted.
Corrections
We welcome corrections and take them seriously. Email support@inventum.com.au with the page and the figure you expected. We check it against the official source, fix any error, and update the page's last-checked date to reflect it.
Independence
We never accept payment to change, add, or remove a figure, and no advertiser has any influence over the rates or explanations we publish. The site carries advertising, which is served by Google and kept clearly separate from our content. Ads never sit inside a rate table or an estimator.
How our pages are written
Our figures are taken directly from the official documents by our data pipeline. They are never written from memory or generated by AI. The explanatory text around them is drafted with the help of AI tools and then reviewed by our editorial team against the official sources before it is published.
Content is published under the BenefitRates Editorial byline. We do not invent authors, photographs, or credentials.
